This article will go over the customisation options available for the App parts in ODW products and services.
Editing the app part on the page
To edit an app part from the page editor, follow the three steps below:
- Edit the page using the edit button in the right-hand side of the ribbon.
- Once in edit mode click into the zone where the welcome banner is located.
- You will see the edit menu on the left-hand side.
The property pane will now display to the right. It will allow you to change the following details for app parts:
| Show title | Show the app part title above the links |
| Web part title | Customisable app part title |
| Number of items to display | Sets how many documents show in the app part |
| Align app part to the right or left | If a maximum width is set to below the width of the area of the app part zone, then you can set if it sits to the left or right of the area |
| Knowledge Document library | Dropdown shows all document libraries in the current site. Select one to pull the documents from it. |
| Show or hide the document description | Shows or hides the overview field |
| Go to Knowledge hub text padding |
Sets the padding above Go to Knowledge hub text and below the items shown |
The property pane will also allow you to adjust the followng options for the Knowledge libary:
| Knowledge Library Settings Button | Shows the property pane with the root folder structure of the document library, select which to hide from the app part |
| Manage document Fields | Map the fields to the elements that show in the web part. Advise not to change |
