To edit an item, select the item in the list and click the edit button in the ribbon or click on the title of the item you would like to edit, and it will open the property pane for that item with all the values visible to edit.
Click into which input field you would like to change, change the value, and click out of the field and it will automatically save. You can also click the edit all at the top of the property pane and then once finished editing click save.
The following options are adjustable metrics for the My quicklinks welcome banner:
Item limit | The number of items to show in the modal |
Preview limit | The number of items to show on the page |
The following options are container styling options:
Use custom colours instead of theme | Setting this to on reveals the colour pallet to set the background colour of the app part |
Background colour | The colour of the background of the app part |
Banner image URL | The background image of the app part |
Max width of outer container | Sets the width of the outer container, maximum value is 1236 pixels as this is the standard width of app parts within SharePoint |

Follow the below steps to make changes to the app part itself:
- Edit the page using the edit button in the right-hand side of the ribbon.
- Once in edit mode click into the zone the welcome banner is located.
- You will see the edit menu on the left-hand side.
- The property pane will now display to the right. The only elements within the app part that should be changed are the Item limit, preview limit, background colour and banner image URL. Changing any other fields can result in the app part not functioning properly.
- Make the changes required and republish the page.
