Viva Engage is a platform from Microsoft designed to enhance communication and engagement
within your organization. It aims to add a more social layer to company communications and
help build stronger connections between yourself and your colleagues and teams.
How will this improve my life at work?
Viva Engage aims to do this in four main ways:
- Making the communications and news you receive will be easier to receive and digest.
Allowing you to join and build virtual communities around departments, locations and
interests; both work and social. - Making your company leaders more visible and easier to engage with through virtual
townhalls, Q&As and the ability to interact with them on the platform - Making knowledge sharing and collaboration easier, allowing you to crowdsource
answers and connect easily with experts within your organisation.
What’s the difference between Viva Engage and Microsoft Teams?
You would normally use Teams to communicate and collaborate in real time on a specific task
or project. Viva Engage is more geared towards community and culture building, where you can
interact with colleagues and leaders on a more social level, producing those all-important ‘water
cooler moments’.
