How do I access the platform?
You have 3 access points for Viva Engage:
- Through Microsoft Teams app by navigating to the Viva Engage tab or section.
- On the browser via a link.
- On your mobile device, Viva Engage is accessible via the Microsoft Teams app or the
Viva Engage app, downloadable in the App and Play stores
How do I post an update or share content?
You can post an update or share content by navigating to the relevant community or your own
storyline, clicking on the "Create Post" button, and typing your message. You can also attach
files, images, or links to your post.
This post can be a discussion (essentially a regular post), question, praise, poll or an article.
What are storylines, and how do I use them?
Storylines in Viva Engage are personal feeds where you can share updates, achievements, and
insights with your colleagues. To post on your storyline, click on your profile or the storyline tab,
then create a post just like you would in a community.
How do I join or create a community in Viva Engage?
To join a community, you can search for the community name in the Viva Engage search bar, or
explore the communities recommended by your platform, and request to join. To create a
community, go to the Communities tab, click on "Create Community," and follow the prompts
to set it up.
How do I ask a question and get the answers I need?
Using the questions function, you can post a question in the main all company feed or a specific
community in the same way as a regular post. Anyone within the company or community can
answer the questions and the best answers can then be highlighted.
How do I get notifications from Viva Engage?
If accessing the platform via Teams, notifications from Viva Engage will appear in your Microsoft
Teams activity feed. You can also receive notifications via email.
You can customize your notification settings by going to the settings menu and ticking certain
boxes to adjust your notification preferences.
